For around ten years Ukrainian Radio is one of the 80 members of the Prix Italia (http://www.prixitalia.rai.it), the most prestigious International Radio, TV and Internet competition, annualy bringing together representatives from 42 countries from all five continents. Prix Italia was founded in 1948. Prizes are awarded for quality radio productions in the fields of drama, documentaries and music.

In 2008 Ukrainian Radio submitted for the International Jury consideration chamber cantata "Five Bridal Ladkannyas from Pokuttya" by modern talented composer Oleksandr Kozarenko. 

In 2010 Ukrainian Radio presented two entries by talented producers Ilya Khomenko and Volodymyr Fomenko: “Betrayal as the Gravest Sin” and “Ultimate Instance”.
