President Poroshenko submitted the agreement on WTO trade facilitation for the ratification by the parliament. This step is one of the most important among other reforms in the sphere of international trade and aims to improve Ukraine's position in the rankings related to the ease of doing business, according to the national Ministry of Economy. The agreement provides for simplification of customs procedures, including through the introduction of "single window", accelerated procedure of sending the goods, increased publicity of government institutions and reducing of corruption.
Ratification of the WTO agreement is a condition of granting Ukraine technical assistance of the US and EU.
