Ukraine guarantees the reliability of operation of its gas transportation system and the uninterrupted transit of Russian natural gas to the countries of the European Union.
This was announced on the air of one of the TV channels by the commercial director of the Naftogaz National Oil and Gas Holding Yuri Vitrenko, commenting on the position of Energy Minister Igor Nasalik that Naftogaz reduces the costs of supporting the gas transportation system, which can lead to gas transit problems.
"In our opinion, there are no reasons to worry about the reliability of the Ukrainian GTS, we guarantee uninterrupted transit," he said. According to Vitrenko, capital investments in the gas transportation system in 2017 are 2.5 times higher than last year's figure.
