Poroshenko asks international community to help to settle conflict in Donbas

Delivering a speech at the 21st session of the UN Climate Change Conference in Paris, he said settlement of the conflict would help Ukraine to reach progress in fulfilment of its commitments on environment protection. Besides, the president also mentioned another crucial issue to be addressed, that is to secure sufficient finance resources for reconstruction of eastern Ukraine’s coal-mining Donbas region. "These resources can be viewed as an investment in tackling climate change. Because the new Ukrainian Donbas should be of a focus in energy efficiency," the head of state said.
