"To improve the system of customs and tariff regulation and to receive the opportunity to review tariff commitments in the WTO at any time during the next three-year period (2018-2020), Ukraine has reserved the corresponding right in line with Article XXVIII of GATT 1994 (the document WTO G/MA/333 as of April 21, 2017 in the Ukrainian and English languages)," reads the report. According to the ministry, despite all the positive factors of joining the WTO, it should be noted that in recent years the economic conditions in Ukraine have changed significantly. "The annexation of Crimea and the events in eastern Ukraine have negatively affected the conditions of economic activity and trade, which puts on the agenda the introduction of comprehensive economic reforms and the use of all available mechanisms for transforming the Ukrainian economy from raw to innovative," the ministry stated.
