"As of 6:00 on June 16, almost 315,000 Ukrainian citizens crossed the border with EU countries since the visa-free travel regime took effect. During the trip, 63,000 of our compatriots used biometric passports. 8,690 of them used the right to visa-free trips and crossed the border only with a biometric passport. In this case, 1,950 citizens, and this is 22%, used air services. The rest of people crossed the border at the automobile or railway checkpoints," the report said. Since the visa free regime was introduced 16 citizens of Ukraine were refused to cross the state border with EU countries, mainly because of the violation of the migration legislation of a EU country during their previous stay. As reported, the visa-free regime of Ukraine with the EU countries came into operation on June 11, 2017.
