Bribing Voters may result in criminal persecution

Kyiv police opened 7 criminal proceedings on the fact of bribing voters during voting. This was disclosed by the press service of the Metropolitan Police Department. In addition, police made another 7 protocols on administrative violations, five of which - regarding illegal campaigning, and two - on the facts of petty hooliganism. In general, the law enforcement officials on election day received 404 reports of violations during the voting. Earlier "Opora" observers reported that a total of more than 1,100 documented violations were registered during the local elections on October 25.
