EU to assess implementation of Minsk agreements in December

This issue will be on the agenda of the Foreign Affairs Council’s meeting on December 14-15, a high-ranking EU official told Ukrinform news agency. “Before the European Council’s meeting, the ministers will discuss the implementation of Minsk agreements,” the diplomat said. The Minsk agreements are to be implemented by the end of 2015. The agreements foresee the EU economic sanctions against Russia that are in effect till the end of January, 2016. The next meeting of the European Council at the level of heads of state and government of the EU is scheduled for December 17-18.
