Kyiv City Council forms 5 factions

The faction of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc "Solidarity" chaired by Andriy Strannikov is made of 52 members, the Samopomich faction chaired by Serhiy Husovsky includes 22 members, the Batkivschyna Party faction chaired by Volodymyr Bondarenko 17 members, the Yednist (Unity) Party faction chaired by Oleksandr Omelchenko 15 members, the faction of the Svoboda all-Ukrainian union chaired by Yuriy Syrotiuk has 14 members, the press service of Kyiv City State Administration reported on Tuesday. As reported, on Tuesday, December 1, newly elected mayor of Kyiv Vitali Klitschko took the oath at a meeting of the first session of Kyiv City Council of the eighth convocation. He also said that he intends to nominee representative of the Poroshenko bloc Volodymyr Prokopiv for the post of the secretary of Kyiv City Council.
