Militants use mortars to shell government positions in eastern Ukraine

"The militants used grenade launchers, heavy machine guns, and small arms to shell in the direction of Novhorodske [34km north of Donetsk], Opytne [11.5km north-west of Donetsk], Pisky [12km north-west of Donetsk], and Marinka [35 km south-west of Donetsk]. They also used grenade launchers to shell Luhanske [59km north-east of Donetsk] and Zaitseve [67km north-north-east of Donetsk]," reads the statement. The terrorists used grenade launchers, heavy machine guns, and small arms to open aimed fire on Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol), Novhorodske, and Hranitne (57km south of Donetsk) five times. The 82mm mortars were used to shell precisely Hranitne village.
