National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine initiated the development of the law on chaplain service in the Armed Forces.
This is what Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council Olexander Turchinov said speaking at the congress of military chaplains. According to him, military chaplains have to move from volunteer activity to professional format work. They have to solve serious tasks - the spiritual and patriotic education of the military. Besides, chaplains should help soldiers overcome stress and post-traumatic syndrome, Oleksandr Turchynov said.
Today in Ukraine there are about two hundred military chaplains, most of them are at the forefront in the ATO
