Spending on Ukrainian military training should be at least doubled in 2016 - defence minister

"This year around 1 billion hryvnias was spent on combat training of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Next year the sum should be at least doubled. It does not matter what modern equipment is supplied to the units, military should learn how to operate it," he said visiting the International Peacekeeping and Security Centre in western Ukraine. He said that spending on combat training should be increased, and the infrastructure of training centres should be improved, as "our soldiers who arrived to the couhnterterrorism operation zone have knowledge required for successful tasks accomplishment."
