Jemilev: Ukraine, Turkey strengthen partnership in economy, military field

"Turkey is considered our strategic partner, and the current developments will contribute to strengthening of our partnership in the economic and military fields. This is a significant potential," Jemilev said. According to him, Turkey's position on the issue of Crimea is well known: Turkey does not recognize the annexation and supports the territorial integrity of Ukraine. "However, this position should be demonstrated more actively and in closer coordination with Ukraine. These issues, as far as I know, were discussed during the meeting of Petro Poroshenko with Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Paris late November," the politician noted. Jemilev is the head of the Mejlis, the highest representative body of the Crimean Tatars.
