Lviv claims to get status of "UNESCO City of Literature"

Lviv entered the list of participants in the contest "UNESCO City of Literature", according to official results of the selection. This means the integration of the city into the global book context, literary tourism development, promotion of Ukrainian cultural achievements in the world. To get the opportunity to participate in the contest, request of a city that claims for this status should be supported by the cities that have already received the title of "UNESCO City of Literatur." Submission for contest of Lviv was endorsed by Dublin, Edinburgh, Norwich, Melbourne and Krakow.
