In Khmelnytsky agricultural producers blocked the roads of national importance - in Letychivsky, Volochisk, Kamyanets-Podilsk and Slavuta districts.
In such way the region's farmers joined the nationwide indefinite strike in protest against amendments to the Tax Code adopted by the Government and Parliament that abolished special regime of levying VAT for farmers, with a gradual transition to a common system of taxation.
Protesters are demanding that the president vetoes these innovations. Protest action continues for the second consecutive day.
On the eve farmers blocked roads in 10 regions, including Kiev, Vinnytsa, Kirovograd, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kherson.
