Pechersky District Court in Kyiv imposed arrest on floating rigs (called "Towers of Boiko ) belonging to "Chernomorneftegaz." that was expropriated by Russia . Arrest was imposed at the request of the Prosecutor General.
Last year, these rigs were illegally seized during the Russian annexation of the Crimea and moved from the zone of Odesa gas field closer to the peninsula. Foreign Ministry regarded this episode as another large-scale looting of property and natural resources.
Company "Naftogaz of Ukraine" and the Ministry of Justice said that they will appeal to the International Court of Arbitration.
