Poroshenko offers condolences to Istanbul1

9 people have been killed and 15 people have been injured as a result of the explosion in Istanbul city centre. The blast took place in the old part of Istanbul, near the Sultanahmet Mosque located on the European side of the city. President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that a suicide bomber of Syrian origin was thought to be responsible for a blast. Deutshce Welle later reported most victims were Germans. No Ukrainian citizens have been injured in the attack, Ukraine’s Consul General in Istanbul Vasyl Bodnar said quoting local police data.
