The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry points out that this visit was not authorized by Ukraine and breached the norms of the Ukrainian legislation governing the procedures for entering Ukraine. Restrictions envisaged by the law will be imposed on the violators. The Ministry called on the government, parliamentary and public circles of the Czech Republic to "publicly distance themselves from such provocations, which Kyiv sees as a manifestation of disrespect of Ukraine's sovereignty and contempt of the official position of the Czech Republic and the EU on the condemnation of Russia's aggression against Ukraine." As reported, two MPs from the Czech parliament’s lower house, representing the Communist Party of Bohemia and Moravia arrived in Donetsk for a three-day visit to the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic. Their declared purpose was to study the aftermath of the hostilities and the humanitarian situation and speak to local residents. The program of the visit involves “their meeting with the DPR council of lawyers, representatives of the regional authorities "and former prisoners-of-war who will deliver documentary material on war crimes by Ukraine.” Ondracek is a member of a commission that oversees the Czech security service and has also been declared a persona non grata by Ukraine and banned from entering the country. In December, he tried to enter Ukraine via Boryspil Airport but was stopped and sent back. Mackovik is a member of the Czech parliament's defence committee.
