Poroshenko noted that the EBRD is the biggest financial investor in Ukraine and thanked the bank for its consistent powerful support to our state. For his part, Chakrabarti assured that the EBRD will remain a reliable partner of Ukraine in the implementation of reforms, particularly in the energy, banking sectors and the fight against corruption. The interlocutors noted the importance of privatization of state enterprises in Ukraine. Poroshenko and Chakrabarti stressed the key role of the EBRD in the projects for the cleanup after the Chornobyl accident. The Ukrainian head of state invited the EBRD president to visit Ukraine during the events to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Chornobyl disaster.
