Ukraine exports 24 mln tonnes of grain this marketing year

The country exported 10.9 million tonnes of wheat, 8.95 million tonnes of corn, 3.93 million tonnes of barley, and 144,000 tonnes of other grains. The ministry said that the prices of grain currently vary depending on the region: the price of third class wheat is UAH 3,250-4,000 per tonne, and six class fodder wheat UAH 3,100-3,600 per tonne. At present, average price of third class bread wheat is UAH 3,601 per tonne and fodder wheat UAH 3,380 per tonne. Average price of barley is UAH 3,396 per tonne and corn UAH 3,255 per tonne. As reported, the ministry expects grain exports in the 2015/2016 marketing year at the level of 36.8 million tonnes. The harvest in 2015 is estimated at 61 million tonnes. Grain exports from Ukraine in 2014/2015 agricultural year tentatively totaled 34.6 million tonnes, including corn in the amount of 18.837 million tonnes. Some 11.234 million tonnes of wheat, 4.46 million tonnes of barley and 280,000 tonnes of other grains were supplied to foreign markets.
