National Bank hopes to increase foreign currency reserves by $6 bln

"This year forecast [as for foreign currency reserves] is USD 19.6 billion," Hontareva said. As reported, as of beginning of January 2016, the foreign currency reserves amounted to USD 13.3 billion. In early 2015, Hontareva stated that NBU would be able to increase its gold and foreign currency reserves up to USD 15 billion dollars before the end of the year.
