The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on February 15, 2016 decided to suspend transit movement of Russian trucks on the Ukrainian territory, according to a Monday posting on the government's website.Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk said that due to the fact that the Russian Federation violated the WTO rules and procedures and on a unilateral basis stopped movement of Ukrainian trucks on the territory of Russia, the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine urgently sent a note to Russia demanding to expand the illegal actions.
He added that Ukraine demands that Russia urgently fulfills the WTO requirements and resume transit movement of Ukrainian trucks.
Yatseniuk also said that Ukraine is holding consultations with EU members and sending requests to the EU members regarding the fulfillment of the WTO basic principles by the Russian Federation.
