The Ukrainian parliament speaker said in the plenary session on February 19 morning that the parliament administration had received documents from the Samopomich Party's faction, which were signed by parliamentarians to withdraw from the European Ukraine ruling coalition.
Volodymyr Groysman expressed regrets about Samopomich's decision, adding that political consultations on the current situation will continue.
Batkivschyna announced its withdrawal from the coalition on February 17, 2016. Petro Poroshenko Bloc said it would not recall its signatures from the coalition agreement, but acknowledged that the coalition had essentially broken up.
