Ukraine, UK sign 2016 bilateral defence cooperation plan

As the press service of Ukraine's Defence Ministry reported, members of the Ukrainian delegation led by Ukraine's Deputy Defence Minister for European Integration Ihor Dolhov met with British Defence Ministry's International Security Policy Director Nick Her r and signed the Ukraine-UK cooperation plan for 2016. Besides, as a part of the visit, Dolhov met with Penny Mordaunt, British minister for the Armed Forces. "The parties deliberated the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation in the defense sector, the military and political situation in Ukraine, the British government humanitarian assistance, reform of Ukraine's Armed Forces and the development of the legal framework for bilateral cooperation," the source said. The sides also paid substantial attention to the discussion of special trainings with British instructors, as well as education projects, and the operation of the British advisor on governance and financial management of defense sector in Ukraine.
