"There are some inconsistencies in the law, which makes it difficult or even impossible to implement it. But the work does not stop. So far, more than 430 films have been banned," Illienko said. The bans concern films as well as television shows that are considered by the Agency to contain soviet or Russian propaganda, often in a form of presenting a positive image of Russian soldiers, security services or law enforcement. They can also be banned when featuring an actor that is blacklisted in Ukraine because of hate speech toward this country and its nation.
