Ban Ki-moon: Savchenko has right to fair trial

"UN Secretary-General was relieved to learn that Nadiya Savchenko stopped dry hunger strike. The Secretary-General urges the authorities to observe due process and fair trial rights of Ms. Savchenko," Dujarric said. Earlier, U.S. Permanent Representative to the UN Samantha Power called on Russia to release Nadiya Savchenko and other Ukrainian citizens illegally detained in Russia. Nadiya Savchenko was on dry hunger strike from March 4 to March 10.
