Constitutional Court of Ukraine considering constitutionality of law on lustration

The Constitutional Court of Ukraine continued its consideration of proceedings on the constitutionality of several provisions of the law on lustration, despite the fact that representatives of the Verkhovna Rada and the Cabinet of Ministers left the meeting. Earlier, the Constitutional Court did not satisfy the request of MP Yegor Sobolev about withdrawal of six judges of the CC of Ukraine who, according to the MP, earlier made decisions that led to the usurpation of power by Viktor Yanukovych, and therefore have no right to hear the case concerning the constitutionality of the law on lustration. In protest, representatives of Parliament and Cabinet left the meeting of the Constitutional Court.
