The Committee of Voters of Ukraine stated that yesterday's vote in Kryvyi Rog does not meet the standards of fair and democratic elections. Committee Chairman Olexiy Koshel told of artificially increased voter turnout that was reached due to "transportatopn " to 70 polling stations of 80 thousand people, mostly of old age.
Transport vehicles that were used to do it was provided by structures close to the local authorities. Among other violations there was bribing.
A total of 73.09% of voters at a snap mayoral election in Kryvy Rih in Dnipropetrovsk region voted for the incumbent mayor from the Opposition Bloc Party Yuriy Vilkul, while candidate from the Samopomich party Semen Semenchenko got 10.74%.
