One Ukrainian soldier killed, eight wounded in east Ukraine

Russia-backed militants launched 77 attacks on the positions of government troops over the past day. Army operation headquarters press centre said in a daily report. It noted that the militants continue using the heavy weapons that were to be withdrawn under the Minsk agreements on ceasefire. Villages in the vicinity of separatist-held Donetsk remain the hotspots of the attacks. More attacks were reported near the strategic southeastern seaport Mariupol controlled by the Ukrainian government.
