The Security Service of Ukraine prevented the illegal sale to Russia of parts for gas turbine engines used on military ships. Law enforcers conducted a special operation in Mykolaiv together with the administration of State Enterprise "Zorya" - "Mashproekt."
Two factory workers were trying to sell engine components through intermediaries. During searches in the homes of experts of the enterprise the police seized UAH 300 thousand and spare parts, ready for sale. Russia does not have own production of gas turbines.
