Ukraine's Foreign Ministry expresses deep concern at the escalation of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and condolences to the relatives of the killed and injured as a result of the fighting. It is said in a statement issued by the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.
Ukrainian side favors long-term political settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict on the basis of respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan within its internationally recognized borders.
"The current situation clearly demonstrates that frozen conflicts are focus of instability in the whole OSCE area, which at any moment can catch fire and cause large-scale fighting and high casualties," is noted in a statement of the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine.
