Separatists launch 64 attacks on government troops in east Ukraine

Using 120mm mortars, the militants shelled the Ukrainian troops near Troitske (69km west of Luhansk) and Luhanske (59km north-east of Donetsk). 82mm mortars were used by the militants to shell Ukrainian servicemen near Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol), Mayorske (45km north of Donetsk). The mortars of both calibers were used to launch attacks in the industrial area of Avdiyivka (18km north of Donetsk). In addition, the Kremlin mercenaries used the anti-aircraft mounts, grenade launchers, machine guns and small arms to fire at the Ukrainian strongholds near Opytne (11.5km north-west of Donetsk), Marinka (35 km south-west of Donetsk), Stanytsia Luhanska (16km north-east of Luhansk), Zaitseve (67km north-north-east of Donetsk), Novotroitske (32km south of Donetsk), Pisky (12km north-west of Donetsk), Novhorodske (34km north of Donetsk), Verkhniotoretske (22km north-east of Donetsk).
