"We still want to see Nadiya Savchenko returned to Ukraine and to her family where she belongs," Kirby said. Commenting on the U.S. efforts, he stressed that the United States "continues to call" on the Russian authorities to release Savchenko. He also mentioned he could not predict further developments. "We obviously continue to call for it [Savchenko release]... She needs to be returned to Ukraine. She’s been unjustly detaine," the Spokesperson for the U.S. Department of State said.
