Ukrainian World Congress calls on global community to support Ukrainians in Russia

“The Ukrainian World Congress calls on the international community, including human rights organizations, to support the rights of the Ukrainian minority and halt the increase in violations of fundamental freedoms in the Russian Federation,” stated the UWC president. According to him, Russia is trying in every possible way to isolate the Ukrainian minority in Russia from the Ukrainian diaspora. “Russian authorities have never informed the UWC why it is being targeted by such initiatives, nor why is it considered to be ‘a danger to the constitutional order of the Russian Federation,’” the Ukrainian organization stated.
