Radiation-ecological biosphere reserve to be established in Ukraine

President Petro Poroshenko has signed a decree on the establishment of Chornobyl radiation-ecological biosphere reserve - one of the largest protected areas in Ukraine. According to the press service of the President, the area of the reserve will amount to 227 thousand hectares. The reserve is located in the Ivankiv and Polissya districts of Kyiv region within the exclusion zone and zone of unconditional resettlement.
