According to media reports, Bloom also visited the cities of Svyatohirsk and Kramatorsk. The towns, especially Slovyansk, were the hotspots of fierce battles between the Ukrainian armed forces and Russia-backed militants in mid-2014, and were liberated from the separatists’ control in July that year. Orlando Bloom visited school №13 in Slovyansk and was spotted at a local cafe in Kramatorsk. The actor, best known for the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit movie franchise, will reportedly visit Kyiv next week.
