Ukraine's Infrastructure Ministry has called on haulers to observe legislation. The ministry said that trucks weighing more than 40 tonnes would not run Ukrainian roads anymore.
The ministry said in a press release that now legislation permits shipment of cargos of no more than 40 tonnes (curb weight).The ministry jointly with lawmakers has drawn up a bill on amending some Ukrainian laws regarding toughening control over safety of freight transportation by road and punishment for violation of traffic rules.
As known, the Odessa region truckers blocked the road for several days "Kyiv - Odesa", demanding to abolish fees for overloading their trucks.
