Movement of trucks restricted

"UKRAVTODOR" has restricted movement of truck on roads of national importance, if the temperature is above 28 degrees C. The agency explained that the restriction applies to vehicles with total weight over 24 tons of load and more than 7 tons per axle. The ban will apply throughout the summer period from 10 to 22 hours. Experts insist that such measures are necessary to ensure the safety of drivers and preservation of roads, since high temperature and large load lead to major damage asphalt surfaces.
