Gazprom has received the letter of Naftogaz on the resumption of Russian gas supplies in H2 2016 and Q1 2017, Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller told journalists.On June 6 Naftogaz Ukrainy head Andriy Kobolev said that he was allowing for the possibility of buying Russian gas starting in Q3.
Kobolev said the purchases would be possible "if Gazprom agrees to adopt temporary changes to the existing contract... in this concrete case, if the price is lower than the price which is offered to us from Europe, from the point of view of minimizing spending of consumers and simply common sense, it would be correct to buy this gas from the East."
