President Poroshenko permits foreign nationals to serve in Ukraine’s Armed Forces

The signing of the decree that makes it enter into force will make it possible for the foreigners and stateless persons who didn’t serve in the Ukrainian Armed Forces, but who are now deployed in the army units, to "faithfully fulfil on a voluntary basis, their duty to protect the independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine."
