According to the minister, a group of officials led by Protas has developed and implemented the criminal scheme to embezzle a large amount of budget funds. The suspects in the scam were detained while receiving the first tranche of the stolen funds UAH 400,000. The joint operation was carried out and developed by National police and the NABU. It was an excellent example of coordinated joint actions, Avakov said.
