Militants launch 66 attacks on ATO troops in eastern Ukraine

Avdiyivka (18km north of Donetsk) remains the epicenter of fighting, where the enemy used 120mm and 82mm mortars, grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms to shell Ukrainian positions. In Donetsk area, the militants also used 82mm mortars to fire at ATO troops in Mayorske (45km north of Donetsk), Verkhniotoretske (22km north-east of Donetsk), Opytne (11.5km north-west of Donetsk) and Pisky (12km north-west of Donetsk). Ukrainian servicemen in Troitske (69km west of Luhansk) came under heavy machine guns. In Mariupol area, the enemy used 120mm mortars and grenade launchers to fire at Ukrainian positions in Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol), 82mm mortars and grenade launchers – in Krasnohorivka (29 km west of Donetsk) and Marinka (35 km south-west of Donetsk), heavy machine guns – in Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk).
