"In particular, according to the document, the State Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting and the Finance Ministry, while preparing the draft State Budget of Ukraine for 2017, should provide the funds for holding the song contest in the amount not less than 15 million euros," the statement reads. As we have reported, Ukrainian singer of Crimean Tatar origin Jamala won the Eurovision song contest in May with a controversial song dedicated to the deportation of Crimean Tatars over seven decades ago by the soviet regime. Her victory meant Ukraine would host the European song contest next year.
