Kyiv's Solomiansky district court has arrested funds placed on deposit subaccounts of Ukrainian MP Oleksandr Onyschenko in Latvian bank Trasta komercbanka and arrested accounts of Rexlord Systems and Ostexpert Limited affiliated with him opened in Latvian PrivatBank and Trasta komercbanka.The funds were arrested under a request of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU).According to the document, the ruling to arrest the assets is to be urgently executed.
A month ago the Parliament agreed to prosecution and arrest of Olexander Onishchenko. But he managed to escape from Ukraine. He was twice summoned for questioning as a suspect, but he never showed up.The document describes the materials of the criminal case opened over the embezzlement of funds under joint operation agreements with public joint-stock company Ukrgazvydobuvannia. The damage caused to the state is around UAH 3 billion. Onyschenko is suspected of organizing this scheme.
