Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the United Nations Volodymyr Yelchenko said this at a news briefing. "The issue of convening the UN Security Council meeting is considered now," Yelchenko said. He noted that the Security Council participants might be summoned even at night, if necessary. Yelchenko also said that he intended to inform the Chairman of the Security Council and the UN Secretary-General about the current dangerous situation. He recalled that "the Russian military aggression in Georgia also started with the far-fetched accusations."
