Ambassador: US sees no confirmation of alleged Ukraine’s ‘invasion of Crimea’

The US Government sees no confirmation of Russia's statements on alleged Ukraine’s ‘invasion of Crimea’," the diplomat noted. He added that the US sanctions related to the occupation of Crimea would remain in place until Russia returns the peninsula to Ukraine. "We condemn the Russian occupation of Crimea and call for its immediate cessation. Our position regarding the status of Crimea is well known. Crimea has been and will always be the part of Ukraine," Pyatt added.
