Half of this year's students will study for state funds

According to the Ministry of Education, the preliminary results of entrance campaign to higher educational establishments show that 50% of applicants will study for state funds. Nearly 238,000 students were enrolled at budget places at higher educational establishments,another 228,000 will study the expense of individuals and legal entities. The final data will be available in autumn. The department said that this year for the first time the model of targeted placement of state orders was applied , which allowed to implement the principle of "place follows the student" and increase the number of budget places in universities, which sought to engage applicants having the highest scores. Thus, the distribution of budget places was held on the basis of competition points and priorities of applicants
