Search carried out in State Border Service office

Investigators of the Military Prosecutor's Office and Interior Ministry carried out a search in the office of the State Border Service in Kyiv. This was disclosed by the State Border Service spokesman Oleg Slobodyan. Investigative action was carried out in the case of the illegal cutting of forest on the border in Transcarpatian region. Journalists in social networks informed of the searches held in the Western regional border administration and in Chop border service unit. By some estimates, due to illegal cutting of forest the state suffered losses worth nearly UAH 20 million.
