The National Bank of Ukraine from September 1 puts into circulation a commemorative banknote of UAH 20 value, dedicated to the 160th birth anniversary of Ivan Franko.
The banknote is of collector's value but it can be also used for payment in stores. The circulation makes one million pieces.
Paper for commemorative banknote was made with the addition of flax grown in Ukraine, which helped to reduce the cost of the banknote manufacturing and to increase its durability.
