Ukraine threshes 40.5 mln tonnes of grain crops by Sept 19

The press service of the Agricultural Policy and Food Ministry reported sunflower seeds harvesting is underway: 2.4 million ha were processed (40%) and 5 million tonnes were threshed. Some 1.8 million tonnes of corn for grain was threshed from 386,000 ha or 9% of the forecast. Some 156,000 tonnes of buckwheat were threshed on 122,000 ha or 81% of the target. Some 171,000 tonnes of millet were threshed on 94,000 ha or 91% of the target. Some 1.3 million tonnes of soybeans were threshed on 610,000 ha (33%). Sugar beets harvesting finished on 38,000 ha (13% of the target) and 1.7 million tonnes of beets were digged.
